Vodafone is has launched a new series of commercials with a very innovative way to promote their different value added services(VAS). Zoozoo ads have been created by O&M to convey the informative message to its targeted audience. Apparently these characters are seems to be animated cartoon character. The colour of zoozoo is white and the head looks like a egg, with a dispropotional body. Really a funny character.....
Now the question arises, why not a celebraty? Yes ,When all other leading telecom brands are using different celebraties to endorse their brand and different services in that scenerio vodafone's is making difference.
But why! Is it effective?
Yes, It is. Firstly cost effectiveness. As Vodafone is not using any celebraty as their brand ambessador they are pay less for it. On the other hand they can shoot these commercials in a small setting. For example 'Vodafone commercial for International Roaming ' a repleca of statue of liberty is shown in a very funny way.
Again they are hiring women actresses and occassionaly child actors for the series of commercials from the mumbai locality. This also helps them to reduce the cost. This is so because they are not charging a high premieum like other bollywood celebraties.
In case of effectiveness, to influence the targeted audience zoozoos are very much acceptable to every one irrespective of socio-economic differences. The characters are such that they lead simple lives, speak insane and incomprehensible language and move in a certain way with human emotions............
